Message from the desk of President

The all-embracing Maa Durga inviting with a motherly smile, in a splendid pandal with sprinkled mist of ‘dhunuchi’, enchanting aroma and beats of the ‘dhaki’s’. Everyone was enticed to seek the blessing at the feet of Maa Durga. Her splendorous presence made everyone feel religious and joyful to make them dance like children.

And, the fact is that all this was possible in an immensely short period only by her blessings. She inspired everyone to contribute in every way possible, be it their time, efforts, and wealth. She miraculously arranged the craftsmen from West Bengal to make a unique & exquisite Pandal in a form of a Pagoda. There is an ancient saying “whatever God does, it does for the best”. She not only made available a much bigger place/location but also made it possible to make larger number of people to participate to celebrate the 8thDurga Puja. She brought the feeling of ‘oneness’ and togetherness for all the Springfield residents to participate and enjoy this auspicious occasion.

She lifted this Durga Puja celebration to new heights of religious fervour, gaiety and happiness. What with, Springfield Colony’s beautiful couples dancing ‘dandiya’, children participating with the rhythm and Japanese visitors enjoying and participated in this unique Indian festival. The media covering this event was extensive and everyone appreciated the initiative of ‘social’ responsibility by involving hearing and speech impaired children.

By the blessing and grace of Maa Durga, we did it in 2012 and by her grace we will do it again and every year in bigger and grander scale. We will also like to mention our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Mr. Vijay Baisla, Mr. Ajay Baisla, Mr. Rishi Malik and all Springfield Residents Club members, Mr. Harminder Singh, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Mr. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Tarun Dhiman, Mr. Vimal Verma, Mr. Hardeep Singh, Mr. Gora Moitra, Mr. S.K. Jha for their participation, guidance, sponsorship, advertisement, organisation, and encouragement.

I will like to take this opportunity to personally thank each and every committee members for their tireless efforts in making this event, the grand success that it was. Thank you all.
